The DS Laboratories StimuROLLER is a roller with 540 titanium needles with which you can roll over the (scalp) skin. The advantage is that the natural healing process of the skin is stimulated, and hair growth products such as minoxidil or nanoxidil are better absorbed into the scalp. Improved absorption of these lotions indirectly improves results.
The DS Laboratories StimuROLLER is available in 3 different lengths:
- Medium (0.3 mm), for facial hair (beard or moustache) and/or for sensitive skin and/or the less experienced user
- Long (0.5 mm), for the experienced user and for treatment of beard or moustache
- Extra long (1.0 mm), for the experienced user and basically only suitable for the scalp
The benefits of the DS Laboratories StimuROLLER are:
- Increases the absorption of lotions against hair loss
- Stimulates the natural healing process of the skin
- Rejuvenates the scalp to support healthy hair growth
- Is painless: 540 titanium needles
- Is designed specifically for the scalp for both men and women
The DS Laboratories StimuROLLER is designed to stimulate thicker, healthier hair growth by improving the absorption of lotions against hair loss. In addition, the dermaroller promotes scalp health which indirectly ensures better hair growth.
The dermaroller contains 540 thin titanium needles of the highest quality. The difference with other dermarollers is that it contains a lot more needles and is made of titanium. Other dermarollers opt for fewer needles and cheap material for the needles.
Microneedling
The process of treating the skin with a derma roller, for example, is also called micro needling. Microneedling is a simple therapy that works well against conditions such as acne, stretch marks and hair loss.
Research has shown that micro needling can provide a great adjunct in the treatment of hair loss and give positive results. Lotions against hair loss are better absorbed into the scalp when using a derma roller. A derma roller creates thousands of tiny openings in the epidermis to allow the lotion's active ingredients to penetrate more easily to reach the hair follicle. As a result, the lotion will penetrate faster and provide faster results.
Frequency & Research
Several studies show that the derma roller can indeed give positive results on hair growth. A recent study showed that a low frequency of once a week was already effective. Should you wish to use the derma roller more often, our advice is not to use it more than 2-3 times a week, as the skin needs time to recover after treatment. It is recommended to use the derma roller up to twice a week, in the beginning, to allow the skin to get used to it. Once the skin has gotten used to using it, you can increase the frequency as needed.
